Dortmunds players celebrate after defeating Bayern Munich at the German Soccer Cup semifinal match between FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena stadium in Munich, Germany.

Borussia Dortmund fought back to defeat bitter rival Bayern Munich 3-2 to reach the German Cup final on Wednesday. A brilliant strike from Ousmane Dembele 15 minutes from the end settled a tie which had seen Dortmund trail 2-1 at half-time.

Dortmund will play in a fourth consecutive final when it faces Eintracht Frankfurt on May 27. Eintracht reached the final on Tuesday with a penalty shootout win over Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Marco Reus had put Dortmund ahead after 19 minutes only for Javi Martinez to level nine minutes later. Mats Hummels put Bayern 2-1 ahead before the break before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made it 2-2 on 69 minutes.

That paved the way for Dembele to hit the winner with a curling left-foot shot.
