76' Pintu Mahata utilises his pace to rush ahead of the Bhowanipore defenders in a counter attack. Mahata finds Marcos on the far end of the post but he fails to take an effective shot on an open goal.
72' Dodoz's freekick from right outside 18 yards curls in dangerously but just manages to float out of play. Ralte could do nothing but just stand and watch.
67' Pintu Mahata squanders a golden opportunity, failing to reach a forward pass from Colado. Abhijit collects the ball.
61' Supriya's pass to Kamo sees the latter go for a shot, which has been blocked by Mehtab. East Bengal survives a scare.
58' KAAAAAAAAAAAAMOOOOOOO! Bayi Kamo does the unthinkable! He scores a rasping drive from just ahead of the midline to bring it back to level terms. It is all happening here in Kalyani! The stadium has been stunned into silence.

53' Colado's freekick and WOOOAAAH... So close! Abhijit Das, Bhowanipore's goalie does a terrific job as he dives to his left to punch out the shot.
52' Anto, who already has been shown a yellow card earlier, fouls Naorem now after Bidhyashagar's searching cross from the left flank finds him just outside the box.
47' Borja Gomez clears the danger after Bhowanipore's Saran Singh sends in an inswinger from outside the box, courtesy a freekick.
SECOND HALF
45'+1' Well that is it from the first half. Although East Bengal finds itself ahead of Bhowanipore on the scoreboard, it has mostly been a half of missed chances. BFC saw the chances to find itself on the scoresheet multiple times over, but has been constantly denied by a wonderful show from Lalthuammawia Ralte at the goal. East Bengal too, during the dying minutes of the half found itself dangerously close to finding the second goal, but BFC's impeccable defence line kept denying Alejandro Menendez's boys. |

39' Another YELLOW CARD! This time it is East Bengal's Juan who has been booked for dangerously shoving Emanuel. Emanuel is writhing in pain as the medics rush onto the ground.
33' YELLOW CARD: Anto has been booked. He punches Colado while trying to ground the ball. The crowd goes wild.
31' Dika to take a freekick after Kingshuk fouls Colado. A long pass to Mahata, who loses control, and takes a shot which swings way off target.
26' Two more corners gifted to Bhowanipore in no time. Kamo and Dodoz however fail to convert the opportunities, mostly due to a resolute show put up by Ralte. The goalkeeper, who EB signed in January this year, has been exceptional today.
23' Bhowanipore's first corner kick in the match doesn't change the scoreline as the ball sails wide.
20' The referee awards a freekick to East Bengal after Victor fouls Colado. Dika takes the freekick but the curler has been cleared out by Kingshuk.
13' Dodoz's pass finds Supriya, who loses the ball to Dika again. Cleared!
8' Bhowanipore hunts for an opportunity in a counter attack and they have managed to win a corner. Kamo's shot from the right finds Supriya who fails to keep the ball in control.
6'GOAL!And Pintu Mahata puts East Bengal ahead! A powerful shot from the former Mohun Bagan midfielder from within the box finds the back of the net.

5' Kamalpreet plays one long into the box but Victor heads it out to safety.
2' East Bengal has the first corner. Colado will be the one to take it. However, the Bhowanipore defence has cleared the ball.
1' Bhowanipore sniffs an early chance after the strikers lead an attack deep into the EB half, but there has been no damage.

Hey guys! The Red and Gold brigade will have a tough task at hand today. They would have to outplay third-placed Bhowanipore, which is tied on 13 points with the former (4th place). A win for either side would guarantee the top spot in the standings.
A draw would see the goal difference play decider, with Peerless and Mohun Bagan both at 14 points.
