Spain and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has strongly rejected the reports linking him to a sexual abuse case dated back to 2012, saying it is completely false.

According to a Spanish newspaper, De Gea organised a sex party with prostitutes for his teammates in which a woman was forced to take part against her will.

De Gea had reportedly been named by a protected witness in the court documents, which claims that she was forced to perform sexual acts against her will in a Madrid hotel suite rented by jailed pornography baron ‘Torbe’ in 2012.

While De Gea is not accused of being present at the scene, the witness said that Spanish under—21 player Iker Muniain and, another unidentified player of the team were involved in the alleged event.

The 25—year—old, whose Euro campaign seems to be in trouble now, said that he got completely shocked by the reports, but insisted that he would continue to stay with the Spain team for the upcoming challenge.

"This gives me more strength to be with this team, it is now in my lawyers’ hands. I am going to stay with the national team, I have the strength and my team—mates’ support and I want to fight for the Euros,” De Gea was quoted as saying by goal.com.

Spain will begin their European Championship when they take on Czech Republic in Toulouse on June 13.
