Marcus Rashford's meteoric rise continued on Sunday as the teenage Manchester United striker scored twice against Arsenal, just days after bagging a brace on his debut against FC Midtjylland. We reveal five facts about the 18-year-old starlet that every football fan should know:
1) Rashford was born in Manchester on October 31, 1997. The day after United scored six against Sheffield Wednesday at home, with strikers Teddy Sheringham, Andy Cole and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all grabbing braces.
3) Rashford topped the scoring charts for United's Under-18s last year, netting 13 times in 25 starts, but only made his debut for the club's reserves in a Lancashire Senior Cup tie with Rochdale this season.
4) Nicky Butt, recently named the head of United's academy, named him captain for the Under-19s' first UEFA Youth League tie of the season in September against PSV Eindhoven. Rashford responded by scoring twice in a 3-0 victory.
