MATCH REPORT: Premier League: Liverpool thrash Arsenal 4-0 to go second in the league table
It was complete downfall for Arsenal in the second half as Liverpool found its rhythm and ultimately finished the match scoring four past Arsenal.
Minamino, Salah, Jota and Mane were among the goalscorers.

87' Arsenal trying for a consolation but looks clueless going forward. Saka tries to snatch possession but ends up fouling Minamino.
85' Tomiyasu looks to be in sort of discomfort and the referee calls for the physio. He looks okay to continue after medical attention.
84' SUBS- Mohamed Elneny replaces Partey for Arsenal. Tyler Morton makes his Premier League debut and replaces Thiago for Liverpool.
82' Arsenal, which started the game well, completely lost the plot in the second half. Right now, Arteta's men have no idea on how to go forward and Liverpool is having a walk in the park.

77' GOOOOOAAALLLL!!! ITS FOUR FOR LIVERPOOL!! MINAMINO SCORES WITH HIS FIRST TOUCH!! Trent Alexander-Arnold the creator again as he finds a free Minamino at Ramsdale's far-post. He squares it to him with a low-driven cross and Minamino tapped it in. The rout is complete.
76' LIVERPOOL SUB- Takumi Minamino and Jordan Henderson comes on for Jota and Chamberlain.
75' SHOT- Partey makes some space for himself outside Liverpool's box and lashes a shot at Alisson, who tipped it over the bar. That was travelling.
73' GOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! SALAH GETS HIS GOAL!! LIVERPOOL TRIPLES ITS LEAD!! A classic counter-attacking goal. Mane got away after a great touch and squared the ball to Salah at the right time, who had a simple tap-in. Liverpool's front three have all scored a goal today.
70' BOOKING- Fabinho is booked for his challenge on Smith-Rowe.
68' SAVE- Salah found himself with acres of green in front of him. He darts through the right flank and squares the ball to Jota, who shoots at goal. However, Ramsdale stands tall again. He has kept the score respectable for his team.
66' ARSENAL SUB- Martin Odegaard comes on for Lacazette.
66' SHOT- Aubameyang is played a great ball by Lacazette inside Liverpool's box. Aubameyang shoots but the shot is saved by Alisson's outstretched right boot.
65' Arsenal is trying to play out from the back but Liverpool's pressing is top-notch as usual. The Gunners finding it difficult to properly execute that part of their game.
63' Both Jota and Ramsdale, still feeling the effects of their collision earlier but they are continuing with the game for now.
61' Both players are okay as play resumes.
58' Salah with a weighted pass to Jota but his touch is too close to Ramsdale. Both players collide and are currently being tended to by their respective medical staff.
57' FLURRY OF CHANCES- Arsenal displaying a major lapse in concentration. Salah wriggles away and squares it to Alexander-Arnold, whose shot is blocked by Partey. It then comes to Mane who shoots at Ramsdale, which the keeper parries but Mane was offiside.
55' SHOT- Thiago makes a darting run down the left flank and tries to lash it past Ramsdale but his shot is blocked.
54' ARSENAL SUB- Lokonga is replaced by Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
52' GOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL!!!! JOTA DOUBLES LIVERPOOL'S LEAD!! Tavares made a terrible error and gave the ball away to Jota near Arsenal's penalty-area. Jota showed immense composure to body-feint past Gabriel and Ramsdale and slot it inside an empty net.
50' SHOT- Oxlade-Chamberlain with a surging run yet again. He penetrates into Arsenal's penalty-area and tries a cheeky sidefoot to get the better of Ramsdale. The shot however, misses the target.
49' Arsenal players making things difficult for themselves as they concede possession to Liverpool in a dangerous area. Alexander-Arnold tried to ping a ball in but Gabriel got the block.
47' A lively start by Arsenal again as Smith-Rowe finds Aubameyang with a delighful ball but Van Dijk was there to deal with the Arsenal striker.
BACK FOR THE SECOND HALF!!
One can't say Arsenal has shied away from expressing itself but Liverpool at full-throttle, is usually too hot to handle.
After coming close to scoring several times, Ramsdale being the reason for that, Sadio Mane put Liverpool ahead at the 40th minute.
Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp were booked for their altercation at the sidelines.

43' SHOT- Lokonga drives a low shot at Alisson but the Liverpool keeper makes an easy save as it was straight at him.
40' GOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!! LIVERPOOL FINALLY SCORES!! ITS SADIO MANE!! Trent Alexander-Arnold with a peach of a delivery from a freekick, which found Sadio Mane. The Senegalese made no mistake in guiding the ball past Ramsdale with his head.
38' An Arsenal counter but Fabinho with an immense challenge to stop Aubameyang from progressing into the Liverpool half.
37' SAVE- Salah with a great shot but Ramsdale produces an equally good save. The shot was straight at him but the Arsenal's reflexes were top-notch.
35' SAVE- Ramsdale showing his class yet again as he saves a close-range shot by Salah.
34' That altercation has added a layer of intensity to the already buzzing Anfield. The Kop sounds louder than ever.
33' TUSSLE AT THE SIDELINES- Arteta and Klopp with a heated exchange at the touchline as the Arsenal boss thought Klopp was tying to get Tomiyasu yellow-carded. They are separated by the staff. The tussle leads to referee Michael Oliver booking the two managers.
31' OFFISIDE- Smith-Rowe slips in a pass to Aubameyang, who squares it to Lacazette. The French international put the ball inside an open net but Aubameyang was offside.
29' CHANCE- Trent with a pinpoint delivery to Thiago, who shins it to keeper Ramsdale. The keeper made a great save. Mane was there to capitalise on the rebound but the Arsenal defence crowds him out and the ball is cleared.
27' SHOT- Oxlade-Chamberlain makes a motoring run from midfield and then takes a shot from the edge of Arsenal's penalty-area but the shot is blocked and the ball goes out for a corner.
25' Alexander-Arnold with one of his trademark overlaps, which led to Salah pass the ball to him. Trent delivers a low driven cross in the hope of finding a teammate but the Arsenal's Ben White deals with it.
23' Arsenal with another counter-attack, which ended with Saka being one-on-one with Van Dijk. Saka tries to squeeze a shot in at Alisson but the Dutchman gets a block in. Van Dijk has been solid till now.
20' Smith-Rowe loses possession and Alexander-Arnold capitalised on that to pass it to Salah, who in turn, tried to pass it to Jota. The Arsenal backline ultimately deals with it only to see the offside flag raised. A sigh of relief.
19' Saka showing quick feet to get past Tsmikas and move inwards from the right flank but Fabinho was there to cover the backline and stops Saka in his tracks.
16' CHANCE- Tomiyasu delivers a delightful cross from he left flank, which found Saka but Van Dijk to the rescue again as he prevented the Arsenal forward to have a shot at goal.
15' Arsenal is certainly not daunted by Liverpool- every time Liverpool loses possession, Arsenal players are trying to initiate a quick counter-attack.
13' Tsimikas delivers a decent ball from a freekick that he earned. Van Dijk tries to get a decent connection but his header sails over the crossbar.
11' Some loose fouls being conceded by Arsenal in the early stages of the first half but no malice in them. It is just trying to break Liverpool's lucid style of play.
10' Early possession stat: Liverpool- 70% Arsenal- 30%
9' Arsenal players try to keep possession by attempting some snappy passes amongst each other but Liverpool's press is quite effective in breaking the Gunner's rhythm.
7' Saka with a darting run and then does a one-two with Lacazette at the edge of Liverpool's penalty-area. But the towering presence of Van Dijk prevents the young Englishman from dispatching his shot.
6' Liverpool has recovered from its opening minute jitters and looks the better team on the ball now. Arsenal having to work hard to snatch possession from the home team.
4' SHOT- Danger-man Salah tries to curl one in from the right flank but the clinical forward was way off target with his shot there.
2' Arsenal has started as the better team and has penned the Liverpool defence quite deep but Van Dijk sends a long ball to Mane to relieve the pressure.

MATCH PREVIEW
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said his players are fully aware of the challenge of playing at Liverpool with the London club looking to end a nine-year winless streak at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.
Arsenal was bottom of the table in August after losing its first three league games but Arteta's side has jumped to fifth spot on 20 points after 11 matches, with an unbeaten run of eight games.
The London club, however, has not won a league game at Anfield since 2012, when Arteta was still playing for it.
"It is a test," Arteta told reporters on Friday.

"Anfield is a fascinating stadium to play football. You have to be at your best and raise your level to the maximum standards emotionally, physically, technically and tactically because if you don't you will get exposed."
"To go to Anfield is always a test. But again if you are able to do that as well, there are not that many grounds as good to feel that you are a proper footballer."
Arteta said his in-form side is keen to maintain its momentum by playing at the "highest level" against Liverpool, which is a spot above them in the table on 22 points.
"Jurgen (Klopp) and his staff have managed to bring the club to the best moments in their history and sustained it which is the hardest thing to do," Arteta said of its opponents.

"They have transformed the energy around the place, what they have created in the stadium is something special and they have been extremely successful."
Arteta said that Thomas Partey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be assessed before the match due to injury issues, while Sead Kolasinac (left ankle) and Granit Xhaka (right knee) are still recovering.
