England, which has reached the World Cup semifinals for the first time since 1990, will surely the celebrate the stellar work put in by its goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to secure the 2-0 win over Sweden.

The Everton shot-stopper came out with a brilliant performance, thwarting his opponents on many occasions to help his country earn the first clean sheet of this World Cup.

A man of few words, Pickford was satisfied with his performance. "I work hard everyday and the saves I made on training showcased in the match today," he said. "It's great to follow the footsteps of Gordan Banks and Peter Shilton (English goalkeepers to reach World Cup semis). I am giving my best and I don't fear anything and I want to keep giving my best. I enjoy my football and show my performance on match days as criticism doesn't affect me."

Talking about the team spirit that has been the key to England's success, Pickford added: "We know our ability and our strength is our togetherness and thats why we kept a clean sheet as we fought together."
