Bengaluru FC has signed seasoned Spanish midfielder Dimas Delgado, the ISL club announced here on Tuesday. The 34-year-old has agreed a one-year deal and joins Juanan Gonzalez, John Johnson and the newly-signed Erik Paartalu as BFC's fourth foreigner.

Delgado last played for Western Sydney Wanderers, captaining the side in the A-League and the AFC Champions League. The Catalonia-born player turned out for FC Barcelona's reserves early in his career before spending three years (2008-11) in La Liga with Numancia. He later represented Cartagena and Recreativo Huelva in the Spanish second division.

BFC's head coach, Albert Roca, was assistant at Barcelona when Delgado was with the reserve side and stated that he knew the midfielder's qualities well. "I’ve seen Dimas from close quarters and have no doubt about his quality and experience," Roca said. "He is a hardworking and good professional and we’re confident this stint will be a successful one.”
