Bengaluru FC signs Spanish winger Antonio Rodriguez Dovale

Dovale played youth football at Obradoiro and FC Barcelona, and made his first team senior debut for Celta in the Segunda Divsion in 2009.

Bengaluru FC has added more Spanish flavour to the side, signing winger Antonio Rodriguez Dovale for the 2017-18 campaign.

Bengaluru FC (BFC) has signed Spanish winger Antonio Rodriguez Dovale for its 2017-18 campaign, the club announced here on Monday. Dovale, 27, joins Bengaluru FC from Spanish Segunda Division (La Liga 2) side Rayo Vallecano. He is the third Spanish player in the squad, alongside Juanan Gonzalez and Dimas Delgado. Dovale played youth football at Obradoiro and FC Barcelona, and made his first team senior debut for Celta in the Segunda Divsion in 2009. After spending a few years in Segunda Division, he helped Celta achieve promotion to the La Liga for the 2012-13 season. He then played in the elite league for two seasons, under coach and former Barcelona star Luis Enrique. Albert Roca, BFC Head Coach, said, “Antonio is a good young player, and a crafty winger. Having played at the highest level in Spain, he brings in vital experience, which will help us in the season ahead.”
