Blasters’ unique jersey to honour fishermen

The jersey, which depicts a fisherman and a helicopter rescue act to mark the role played by the armed forces, has been specially designed for Friday’s match.

The Blasters will also be honouring a few fishermen during the game.

The fishermen had played a big role, rescuing many, during the recent floods in Kerala. And the Kerala Blasters will wear a special jersey, to honour them, in its first Indian Super League home match against Mumbai City FC on Friday.

The jersey, which depicts a fisherman and a helicopter rescue act to mark the role played by the armed forces, has been specially designed for Friday’s match.

The Blasters will also be honouring a few fishermen during the game. Meanwhile Standard, a brand from the electrical goods manufacturer Havells India stable, came on board as a co-sponsor of the Blasters team. The partnership was announced during an event here on Thursday.
