Natarajan replaces Jansen. Inswinging yorker first up and Jaiswal picks up a single. Two more singles follow. Overhead wide. Full and straight, Riyan hits it hard through covers but Cummins dives to save a certain boundary. Single to complete the over 

Spin introduced, Shahbaz replaces Cummins. Slightly short and Jaiswal slaps it through covers for a FOUR to bring up his half century in style. Jaiswal tries to reverse sweep but it takes an edge but it falls out of reach of Klaasen behind stumps as well. FIFTY FOR RIYAN AS WELL and it comes in a similar fashion, he reverse sweeps to perfection to get a FOUR. Straight from Shahbaz and Riyan hits it straight back at the bowler, the ball takes a deflection and castles the stumps, umpires decide to consult upstairs but replays show Jaiswal was well inside the crease 

Jansen replaces Nitish. Pictched outside off and on the fourth stump line and its sliced behind sqare on the offside for a FOUR by Riyan. Towards the pads this time and Riyan glances fine to collect another FOUR! Riyan and Jaiswal have added 97 runs off just 58 balls. Single to complete the over and that brings up RR’s 100 

Cummins back into the attack, replaces Unadkat. Starts off with a dot. Short and that’s crunched deep into the stands! Riyan anticipated it to perfection to smoke it for a SIX! That’s his 50th IPL six. Right into the block hole, it takes a bottom edge off Jaiswal’s bat and falls safe from the stumps but barely. Full and outside off, Jaiswal drives it through covers and Nitish covers an impressive distance in the deep to recover the ball, Jaiswal takes a double 

Nitish replaces Natarajan. He takes goes short and slow, Jaiswal finds the gap through the third man region to find the fence! Short and pulled away by Jaiswal, Abhishek does good work at the deep to retrieve the ball as Jaiswal settles for a double. Nitish goes short and that’s deemed a wide. Another short ball, another wide but this time SRH goes upstairs and the decision stays, SRH loses a review

Jaydev Unadkat into the attack, replaces Cummins. Two singles off as many deliveries to start off. Unadkat goes short and Jaiswal pulls it through the ground, good piece of fielding from Shahbaz in the deep. Overhead wide. A double to end the over 

T. Natarajan replaces Jansen. Full and slightly outsdie off, Riyan goes inside out over the covers to collect a FOUR! And that brings up the 50 partnership between the two. Another lofted shot and this time it’s over the bowlers head but the result is the same, FOUR more! Another chance goes begging as Abhishek Sharma drops one this time, Natarajan went full and Riyan converted it into a half volley and lofted it towards the cover region

Skipper Cummins into the attack, replaces Bhuvi. Slightly short, Jaiswal backs away, gives himself some room and smacks it through covers for a FOUR! Another FOUR through covers but this one’s lofted through the same region. The RR duo is on a roll despite losing two early wickets. AND THAT’S SMOKED INTO THE STAND! Cummins went short and Jaiswal picked it up perfectly and lofted it on the legside to get a SIX! 

Jansen returns. In the air AND IT IS DROPPED! PAT CUMMINS DROPS A SITTER at mid off! Jansen goes full and wide outside off, dot but the siren goes off! NO BALL. Wide down the legisde, the free hit will continue. Strike that off, that’s another no ball! Jansen nails the yorker this time and Parag collects a single. Another perfect yorker from Jansen, dot. Short this time and Jaiswal pulls it over the infield for a FOUR. That’s another one from Jaiswal! Full and outside off, Jaiswal ducks and guides it towards backward point for a four! 

Bhuvneshwar returns. Goes wide outside off, Jaiswal leaves it and it’s a dot. A bit straight this time, Jaiswal guides it to short third and gets a quick single. Bhuvi takes it away from Riyan and he latches on to it and cracks it over extra cover for a FOUR. Into the stumps this time and Riyan goes bang! He smokes it over long on for a SIX! Wide outside off, Riyan picks the gap through covers to send it towards the fence! Expensive over! 15 off it 

Jansen to Jaiswal. A bit full next as Jaiswal pushes it off-side for a dot ball. Another dot follows as Jaiswal drives it to the covers, straight to a fielder. FOUR!!! Jaiswal pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary. A single next. An out-swinger next that is left by Parag, dot ball. A bouncer to end the over with a dot ball. 

Bhuvneshawar opens the bowling attack. A single to start with. OUT!!! Buttler hits it with his edge and is caught at first slip. Butller gone on golden duck!

Avesh to Nitish. Two singles to start with. Wide not given off the third delivery but SRH takes a review but its lost. FOUR!!!! Nitish reverse sweeps it behind for a boundary. Lofts it over extra-cover for a SIX!!!! A dot to end the over. 

SIX!!! Chahal punished by Klaasen as the he lofts it over mid-wicket for a maximum. ANOTHER SIX!!! Another delivery lofted on-side for a maximum. Strikes it straight for a single. Nitish drives it down for another single. A dot ball follows. A quick double to end the over.

A bit wide next as Head comes out and misses the ball, Samson throws it onto the stumps and catches the batter off-guard but Head just makes it back in. OUT!!!!! A yorker next as Head tries to scoop but the ball strikes the stumps off his bat.

Two in two, Chahal goes full and wide, Head goes through the line and smacks it for yet another SIX. Full and on the pads this time, Head uses his wrists to pick the gap and find a FOUR. Sandeep continues. Starts off with a bouncer and it’s a dot. Tight over so far, just one run off the first three balls. Sandeep goes short yet again and the umpire deems it a wide. RR reviews it. And the decision stays as the ball went over Nitish’s head, RR loses a review. Single off the last ball. Strategic timeout

Yuzi Chahal is introduced, he replaces Avesh. He needs just one wicket to get to his 350th T20 wicket. Slightly short and outside off, Head rocks back and hits it through covers for a FOUR. Seven runs came from that over 

ANOTHER BOWLING CHANGE AND YET ANOTHER WICKET OFF THE FIRST BALL! SANDEEP SHARMA STRIKES TO DISMISS ANMOLPREET! Directed towards the pads, Anmolpreet tried to recreate the pick up shot like he did in the last over but doesn’t get the elevation as the ball goes straight to Jaiswal at midwicket! Nitish Kumar Reddy is in next. Evident swing from Sandeep, he brings it into Nitish as the batter gets trapped leg before, muted appeal from the bowler but they decide not to go upstairs. On middle and leg yet again, Nitish chips it over the infield but the ball falls safe off the deep fielder, single. Brilliant first six overs for the visitors

Avesh Khan is into the attack AND HE STRIKES ON HIS FIRST DELIVERY! He came over the stumps and bowled short, Abhishek picked it up and tried to clear the fence but doesn’t get the desired elevation as sweeper Dhurv Jurel completes an easy catch. Anmolpreet Singh walks in at three. After taking a couple of balls to check the conditions, Anmolpreet goes aerial over midwicket to collect a four and get off the mark in style. Much straighter this time but Head moves towards his left and picks the gap between point fielders and finds the boundary

Ashwin continues. Head comes down the ground to defend and it looked like the ball cliped the pads first and Ashwin lets out a huge appeal. The batters sneak a risky single meanwhile. RR reviews the decision. SO CLOSE! The wickets was umpire’s call. ANOTHER CLOSE ONE! The ball straightened a bit and beats Abhishek but misses the stumps by a whisker. Just outside off from Ashwin and he beats the batter again, Head this time. Brilliant over, just four off it

Boult returns. He cramps Head for room and the batter tucks it towards midwicket, no run. Boult goes outside off this time, Head makes space, frees his hand and slaps it through the cover region for a FOUR. Boult keeps it tight. Seven from the over 

Ravi Ashwin to bowl the second. And he starts off with a dot. Tossed up and Abhishek capitalises, he comes down the ground and hits it straight into the stands for a SIX! Angled towards the pads, Abhishek trickles it for a single. Eight off the over 

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma have made their way into the middle. The opening duo has a combined strike rate of over 240 this season! Meanwhile, Trent Boult will open with the ball. 

Boult takes the ball away from Head first up, he slashes and the ball goes blazing past Riyan Parag as a chance goes begging! Riyan got his fingers to the ball but was unable to grab the opportunity. Boult targets Abhishek’s pads and the batter straight bats it for a single. Six runs off the first over

“This is such a good pitch to bat on. There’s going to be very little help for the spinners. The quicker bowlers, because it’s a harder pitch, might be able to get a little more carry but this is a pitch where you can expect a lot of runs,” reckons Sunil Gavaskar.
