Host FC Goa fell prey to Chennaiyin FC in a 0-1 result as defender Narayan Das struck his own net in the 52nd minute in match 73 of Indian Super League.
John Gregory made two alterations after the 1-1 draw against Delhi Dynamos- Bikramjit Singh and Henrique Sereno replaced Keenan Almeida and Jaime Gavilan Martinez as Jeje Lalpekhlua was the team's lone striker with Rafael Augusto just behind.
Early on, Chennaiyin's Francis Fernandes was allowed a free-header from Gregory Nelson's delivery from the left that was unconvincingly blocked by Bruno Pinheiro as Inigo Calderon's effort off the rebound flew just over.
The Goans' first real chance was when Manuel Lanzorote picked the run of Seriton Fernandes on the right side in the seventh minute but the latter's cross was a bit too heavy for Corominas in the face of goal.
After Calderon did just enough to get in the way of Lanzarote's through pass intended for Edu Bedia, Jeje had set him up in the attack wherein the Chennaiyin right-back shot wide in the 26th minute.
