Welcome to the highlights of the Serie A 2019/20 match between AC Milan and Juventus. This was Santadeep Dey bringing you all the action as it unfurled at the San Siro stadium.

FULL TIME: First Lazio and now Juve... the Rossoneri prove they are still a major force to be reckoned with and very much in the title race. Since the Ibra penalty, it went from 0 to 100 real quick with three more goals coming in only a matter of 18 minutes. Juventus, on the other hand, had its first league defeat since February.

90 + 5' Ronaldo well 3-4 yards offside, but the flag goes up only after the star striker puts it at the back of the net. Disappointing this must be for the Old Lady!

90 + 3' SUBSTITUTION: Bentancur walks. Muratore on.

90' We will have six minutes of added time, ladies and gents!

89' Free-kick: Almost 5-2, that! Calhanoglu, a long way out, sends in a screamer, which bounces right in front of the Juve keeper but Szczesny punches it away.

85' Alex Sandro and Bentancur have wild swings at goal, in frantics effort to pull one back. Both the shots sail high over the woodwork and out of play.

81' SUBSTITUTION: Calabria on for Conti.

80' REBIC'S LEFT-FOOTED SHOT HAS ALL BUT SEALED THE GAME! Alex Sandro gifts a straight ball to Bonaventura close to his own goal, who lays it off to Rebic to drive home.

77' DONNAAARUUMMMA! Sick save, that one. Rugani heads one on target but the Milan keeper wards off the threat.

74' Juventus heaves a sigh of relief after Szczesny pulls off a stunning save off a powerful drive from Rebic at close quarters.

69' We have another cooling break.

68' SUBSTITUTIONS: Ramsey comes in for Pjanic, Douglas Costa on for Higuain, Matuidi for Rabiot, Bonaventura on for Ibrahimovic.

67' WHAT A COMEBACK! Rafael Leao now! Keeps angling in from the flank to take a not-so-confident shot at the near post but that is enough to damage Juventus' confidence.

 

66' EQUALISER! Franck Kessie doesn't score many, even lesser from open play. But does it matter? No! Calhanoglu nutmegs Cuadrado, Ibra lays it off to Kessie, who dribbles his way into the box and bam!

 

62' Ibra to take the penalty and he makes no mistake... SCORES! 1-2, it is.

61' Rebic gets booked for handling the ball, or is it? No! VAR changes it all and Milan has a penalty! Bonucci gets cautioned, instead. Seems like it came off from Rebic's chest to find the Juventus defender's arm. Under the old rules, that wouldn't have been ruled as a penalty. But the new rules are way stricter.

59'SUBSTITUTION: Saelemaekers off, Leao on.

53' 0-2! The cream of Serie A rises right up to the top... 21 goals in his last 17; Ronaldo has scored in all of those matches but one. This wasn't a particularly spectacular goal, if one might point out. Breaks into a joy run to be fed with a long ball from Cuadrado and some horrid defending from Romagnoli and Kjaer only helps his cause. Wasn't a bright effort from Donnarumma either as Ronaldo fires it low into the back of the net.

 

47' GOAAAALLL! RABIOOOOTTT... The French midfielder strikes and how! Has an exhilarating run with the ball all the way down from midfield, with Higuain breaking into a short dash midway to confuse the Milan defenders. The former PSG footballer, unperturbed goes ahead to nutmeg Hernandez and slot it home. What a way to get on the scoresheet for the first time in Juve colours!

45' SUBSTITUTION: Hakan Calhanoglu walks in for Paqueta.

SECOND HALF

HALF-TIME: The chances have been few and far between tonight. Both the teams have effortlessly cancelled out each other's efforts. Ronaldo has been industrious but hasn't been able to convert. On the other hand, Ibrahimovic hasn't been that impressive on the ball as well.

45 + 2' Ibra finds the back of the net racing past Bonucci, but the referee raises the flag. OFFSIDE!

45 + 1' Snap shot on the turn by Higuain, who builds up a good understanding with Bernadeschi, but Gianluigi Donnarumma dives to his right to pull off a brilliant save.

45' There will be added play of two minutes.

42' Juventus maneuvering its way out of a tight spot at midfield, but it loses the ball within the box.

40' With five minutes remaining in the first half, Pjanic gets to take a free-kick from high up left. Kjaer, however, ensures again the scoreline remains unchanged.

37' Good combination play by Juventus about the box. Ronaldo gets a flick on the ball before Danilo swings hard. Kjaer heads it away.

35' YELLOW CARD: Pjanic turns on the ball in an attempt to win the possession but comes down after Bennacer treads on his foot.

32' Ronaldo crashes down in the box as the Bianconeri go up in a penalty appeal, calling for a high boot off Ibra. The flamboyant Portugal striker himself, however, doesn't protest.

30' Higuain wins a free-kick after Romagnoli brings him down with a late tackle.

26' Referee calls for a cooling break.

24' Ibra, set up beautifully by Hernandez, shoots another straight at Szczesny.

23' Crisis averted - Defensive brilliance from Simon Kjaer who tracks every step of Ronaldo up high. The ball has been headed away to safety.

22' Pjanic slips and loses control at the edge of the box. Ibrahimovic ends up scuffing the finish at Szczesny.

20' A wonderful tackle by Bentancur on Theo Hernandez sends the ball out of play and earns the appreciation of the dugout.

13' Attempt missed. Rabiot's left-footed shot from outside the box flies high and wide to the left.

12' RONAAALDO... Almost! Juventus building on the early momentum sees Ronaldo dance up to the edge of the box on the left. He plays a left-footed shot and the spin on the ball would have definitely found the top corner of the net if not for the hint of deflection, which came off Andrea Conti's boot.

8' OPPORTUNITY! Miralem Pjanic sends in a wicked curler, off a free kick Bernardeschi wins at the right wing. For a second, you would have thought Leonardo Bonucci almost got to the other end of it!

7' CHANCE! Alexis Saelemaekers goes for the trigger but wasn't able to quiet connect. He ends up playing it straight into the hands of Wojciech Szczesny, who has replaced veteran shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon today.

5' Simon Kjaer tries a through ball, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic is caught offside.

4' A misplaced pass by Rabiot at the flank sees Bernardeschi chest the ball. Referee calls handball much to the surprise of coach Maurizio Sarri and sub Chiellini.

2' Juan Cuadrado wins a free kick on the right wing after Lucas Paquetá commits a foul. Juventus builds play into the final third only to be intercepted by the Milan defence.

KICK-OFF There's the whistle and we are off as Juventus sets the ball rolling!

MATCH PREVIEW Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has said his side "mustn't lose focus" as AC Milan is in "great physical and mental form" and will give his club a tough competition.

"Tomorrow is a difficult game. AC Milan, who created problems for us this season, are in great physical and mental form and are expressing themselves at a high level," the club's official website quoted Sarri as saying.

"The mental aspect is very delicate in this period and an error can be just around the corner. The guys know it's going to be a difficult month, and so they mustn't lose focus," he added.

Juventus is holding the top spot in the Serie A table with 75 points, seven points ahead of Lazio. Despite being the table topper, Sarri feels that the club still has a "room for improvement".

"As a team, we still have room for improvement, even if I'm happy with what I've seen the team do, from all points of view,' he said.
