Hello and welcome to Sportstar's live coverage of the Asia Cup final between India and Malaysia. India is bidding for its third title, while Malaysia bids for its first. India made it to its eighth Asia Cup final after a 4-0 rout of Pakistan on Saturday. The Indians were slow to get off the blocks, while Pakistan was the better side in terms of possession until half-time.
However, the Indians came back strong and a goal in the third quarter and successive goals in the fourth quarter handed India a comfortable win. Malaysia, on the other hand, played out a 1-1 draw with South Korea in the last Super 4 match to finish second on the table with four points and qualify for the final.
The Indians thwarted the Malaysians 6-2 in a Super 4 match on Thursday and will most certainly look forward to emulate the same and win their third Asia Cup title.
