At the end of the pool stage of the Asian Champions Trophy, it was confirmed that India will take on Japan in the semifinals here at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium on Friday.
India beat Pakistan 4-0 on the fifth matchday to seal its top spot, while Japan finished 4th by defeating China 2-1.

Second-placed Malaysia will face South Korea in the first semifinal. Pakistan, who finished fifth, didn’t qualify for the last four.
India drew 1-1 with Japan in its earlier meeting in the pool stages.
