The first half saw an even contest but it was FC Goa that dominated the second half. The home side created multiple scoring chances but Subrata made a string of smart saves to earn a clean sheet.

FC Goa had a couple of close chances early on when Jackichand's cross from the right went begging as there was no one to finish. Minutes later, Eduardo Bedia attempted a header from Brandon Fernandes' cross but it failed to trouble the Jamshedpur custodian.

Jamshedpur FC, which had beaten The Gaurs 4-1 at home, also found it difficult to break the rival defence. Farukh Choudhary, who kept the Goan defence on its toes, forced keeper Mohammad Nawaz to make a diving save from a long ranger.

The Gaurs showed lot of urgency after the break as they piled early pressure and had couple of close chances but Jackichand could not find his chip on target off a Ferran Corominas pass.

Corominas, who is the leading goalscorer in the ISL, was kept on a tight leash by the Jamshedpur defence. He had a chance to score but was late to connect Brandon Fernandes’ cross from the right.

Jamshedpur FC relied on counter to attack and had two chances midway the second half but squandered both.

FC Goa made three quick changes in the second half in search of the opening goal, bringing in debutant Zaid Krouch, Ahmed Jahouh and Manvir Singh in place of Hugo Boumous, Eduardo Bedia and Jackichand Singh, but to no avail.

Zaid nearly found the net but his attempt from close failed to beat Subrata. The Jamshedpur goalkeeper once again came to his side’s rescue in the dying minutes as he dived to his left to clear Fernandes’ low shot and ensure both teams shared the spoils.
