Bengaluru Bulls disappointed at shifting home base

The Bengaluru Bulls players and team management expressed their disappointment at not being able to compete in front of their home fans . The unavailability of the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium has forced the organisers to move the Bengaluru leg of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) to Nagpur.
“It’s a very sad situation. Last year, we did very badly in our home matches, so the entire team was determined to put on a great show for our crowd this time around. But it is not to be. Everyone loved us in Bengaluru, and now we’re going to a new home where we don’t know what to expect,” Bulls head coach Randhir Singh said, at a media interaction here on Friday.
Team owner Uday Sinh Wala dismissed state minister Pramod Madhwaraj’s claim that
He added that Mysuru and Mangaluru were considered as possible venues, but logistic issues meant that both cities could not make the cut. “But I can promise you that we will win over the Nagpur crowd and make them our fans,” Uday said.
Team captain Rohit Kumar said, “It is disappointing, but the team will do its very best on the mat. We are determined to win the league this time.”
All-rounder Ashish Sangwan stated, “I feel very sad, because we had so much support from the fans in Bengaluru. Going to a new home does not feel good. We have to play well and impress the people of Nagpur.”
