It was a great experience to be present at Wimbledon, says Clinton Cerejo.

I was in London with music director Vishal Bharadwaj a few years ago. I was mixing an album with Vishal ji there. We were staying at the Taj at the Buckingham Gate. We finished dinner and as we were walking out of the hotel, we ran into Leander Paes who is a close friend of Vishal ji . They play tennis in the mornings when in India. Gulzar saab also joins them usually. Leander asked, “What are you guys doing tomorrow?” The next day was a Sunday and the studio was shut. He said, “Please come and cheer me, I am playing at the Centre Court at Wimbledon."

Leander got us into the box. We reached just when the men’s singles match between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal was getting over. Federer came out in the balcony with his men’s singles trophy and we were standing right below. We were at Centre Court while Leander was playing the doubles final. Martina Navratilova was sitting two rows ahead. It was a great experience to be present at Wimbledon.

Clinton Cerejo is a music producer, film composer and singer.
