Beach Volleyball

A total of 48 athletes (24 teams) per gender can qualify for the Games, with only a maximum of 4 athletes (2 teams) each per NOC.

Qualification process: Qualification will be decided through the following competitions

• The winner of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Senior World Championships will earn one quota place.  
• Two play-off winners of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Olympic qualification tournament will each earn one place.  
• The 15 highest ranked teams in both men and women’s Olympic Ranking will each earn one quota place.  
• The highest placed NOC/NF of each Beach Volleyball Continental Cup will earn one quota place.
