Indian announces Equestrian squad for Asian Games

A dressage team could not be selected, as none of the riders qualified for the same.

The Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) has selected a seven-member team for the Asian Games, to compete in Eventing and Show Jumping at the Jakarta International Equestrian Park, Pulomas, from August 18 to September 2.

Three-time Asian Games bronze medallist Rajesh Pattu, Fouaad Mirza, Jitender Singh and Rakesh Kumar have been selected based on their performances in the international and national events, apart from trials.

The Setalvad brothers, Keavan and Zahan along with Chetan Reddy have been chosen for show jumping.

The secretary general of EFI, Col. RK Swain, stated that a dressage team could not be selected, as none of the riders qualified for the same.

The team: Fouaad Mirza, Jitender Singh, Rajesh Pattu, Rakesh Kumar, Keavan Setalvad, Zahan Setalvad, Chetan Reddy.
