India national men's cricket team captain, with a total earning of $25 million, was the only Indian among the top-100 of the world's highest earning athletes, as per the Forbes list released on Tuesday.
Kohli, 30, was ranked 100 in the list, a dip from his ranking of 83 a year earlier, and was also the only cricketer in the list. However, the Indian is ranked in the top-20 among the athletes earning the most from endorsements.
Out of Kohli's earnings of $25 million, endorsements amounted to $21 million — more than 80 per cent of the total. The Indian skipper, leading the team's World Cup 2019 campaign in England, is one of biggest faces of the sport in the country and endorses a wide range of brands including electronics, apparel and beverages.
