Ahead of National selection trials, NRAI issues new circular

The NRAI has stated that it would allow the international shooters who have competed in the Asian Games and/or World Championship to participate in only one of the two National selection trials scheduled to be held at the Dr. Karni Singh Range, Tughlakabad, from October 17 to 26.

The shooters will make their own arrangements for arms, stay etc. Ammunition will be provided by the NRAI at the range, on payment against valid arms license.

The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) has stated that it would allow the international shooters who have competed in the Asian Games and/or World Championship to participate in only one of the two National selection trials scheduled to be held at the Dr. Karni Singh Range, Tughlakabad, from October 17 to 26.

“Shooters, who have participated in Asian Games and World Championship, will be allowed to participate in only one trial in those events in which they have participated in these competitions,’’ the circular by NRAI stated.

The sixth and seventh set of trials for rifle and pistol, will feature the Olympic events apart from rifle prone, free pistol, centre fire pistol and standard pistol events.

All the Olympic events will also have finals. Entries will be accepted online only, till 5.30 p.m. on October 9. Late entries with triple the normal fee would be accepted till 5.30 p.m. on October 13.

Entry fee per event per shooter ranges from 750 for air pistol and air rifle to 1725 for the rife 3-position events.
