For the second year in succession an Indian player has stormed into the final in the British Junior Open Squash. After Velavan Senthilkumar's title-success in the 2017 edition in the U-19 section, it is Neel Joshi who has become the sensation by reaching the final in the U-15 boys section.
The 5/8 seeded Neel showed remarkable fighting qualities to down the second seed Malaysian Muhammad Amir Aminul Azhar 13-11, 11-9, 5-11, 3-11, 11-8 for a place in the final. He will face the top seed Samuel Todd of England in the title-clash on Sunday.
Earlier , Tushar Shahani and Neel had kept India's presence going in the ongoing edition by reaching the semi-final in the U-17 and U-15 boys' categories respectively late on Friday.
