Joshna Chinappa enters Otters International finals
Joshna Chinappa will face top seed Annie Au in the title clash on Sunday.

Joshna Chinappa, seeded number two, outlasted sixth seed Tesni Evans in a 73-minute thriller, winning 3-1, 11-6, 15-13, 9-11, 11-8 to confirm a women’s final berth at the JSW Indian Squash Circuit Otters International 2016. She will face top seed Annie Au in the title clash on Sunday.
The latter downed third seed Delia Arnold in a 50-minute semifinal on Saturday, winning three games in a row. Two Spaniards, top seed Iker Pajares Bernabeu and second seed Edmon Lopez will face-off in the men’s final at the Otters Club courts.
Women: 1-Annie Au (Hong Kong) bt 3-Delia Arnold (Malaysia) 3-0: 11-13, 8-11, 13-11, 3-11. 2- Joshna Chinappa (India) bt 6-Tesni Evans (Wales) 3-1: 11-6, 15-13, 9-11, 11-8 .
Men: 1-Iker Pajares Bernabeu (Spain) bt 3-Robert Downer (England) 11-8, 8-11, 11-7, 11-3. 2-Edmon Lopez (Spn) bt Abdullah Al Muzayen (Kuwait) 7-11, 11-6, 13-11 (retired hurt).
