Sachin Tendulkar inaugurates rehabilitation clinic in Mumbai

The Indian cricket icon was joined by his wife Anjali, former Mumbai and Baroda player Vasu Paranjpe, former hockey player Viren Rasquina and Shiv Sena Member of Parliament Arvind Sawant, for the launch of ‘Sportsmed Activ’ in Parel.

Sachin Tendulkar inaugurated Sportsmed Activ , an enhancement and rehab arm of speciality clinic Sportsmed Mumbai , on Friday.

The right-hand batsman inaugurated the facility in Parel here in presence of his wife Anjali, former Mumbai and Baroda player Vasu Paranjpe, former hockey player Viren Rasquina and Shiv Sena Member of Parliament Arvind Sawant.

Sportsmed Activ is an integrated rehab service where a combination of exercise therapy (physiotherapy) and manual medicine (osteopathy) is used to restore body functions. At the 3,000 sq. ft. facility, its team can take the patient through the whole training circuit to restore strength, flexibility agility, balance and core stability, a doctor attached to the
Sportsmed said.

The team at Sportsmed Active includes Dr. Anant Joshi, who is considered as one of the pioneers in the field of Arthroscopy and Sports medicine. Anant has been associated with numerous sports bodies as a medical consultant.

Tendulkar did not speak to reporters at the event.
