Sakshi Malik ties the knot

Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik married fellow wrestler Satyawart Kadian in Rohtak on Sunday. The marriage ceremony was held last evening and was attended by two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and senior Indian National Lok Dal leader Abhay Singh Chautala, among others.

In October 2016, two months after winning Rio Olympics bronze medal in the 58 kg category, Sakshi Malik revealed that she was getting engaged to wrestler Satyawart Kadian.

Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ashok Tanwar posted this picture of the newly married couple. Many sports personalities took to Twitter to congratulate Sakshi. Among those to congratulate her included cricketer Virender Sehwag, boxer Vijender Singh, gymnast Dipa Karmakar, shuttler Saina Nehwal and para athlete Deepa Malik.
