After a precautionary CT scan and having been kept under observation for a day in a local hospital, the Pakistani opener was discharged on Thursday and is likely to fly home once her replacement is decided.

Pakistan’s Javeria Wadood, who was struck on the jaw and had to be stretchered off in the match against West Indies on Wednesday in Chennai, has a broken thumb and is unlikely to take further part in the tournament.
