As expected, India ‘A’ made a clean sweep of all four team titles in the 2017 ITTF World Junior Circuit India Junior and Cadet Open at the Gautam Buddha University Hall here today.
India ‘A’ defeated India ‘B’ in the junior boys, junior girls, and cadet boys’ finals. For the cadet girls’ title, India ‘A’ defeated South Korea.
Junior Boys: India ‘A’ beat India ‘B’ 3-1 (Jeet Chandra lost to Snehit Suravajjula 8-11, 4-11, 3-11, Manav Thakkar bt Parth Virmani 11-7, 11-5, 11-8, Manav-Manush Shah bt Snehit-Anukram Jain 11-4, 11-2, 11-8, Manav Thakkar bt Snehit Suravajjula 11-8, 11-4, 11-8).
Junior Girls: India ‘A’ beat India ‘B’ 3-2 (Moumita Dutta lost to Yashini Sivasankar 11-13, 4-11, 8-11, Archana Kamath bt Srushti Haleangadi 11-4, 11-13, 11-4, 11-5, Moumita-Archana bt Srushti-Prapti Sen 7-11, 11-7, 12-10, 12-10, Archana lost to Yashini 11-7, 6-11, 13-11, 8-11, 9-11, Moumita bt Srushti 11-7, 9-11, 11-9, 11-6).
Cadet Boys: India ‘A’ beat India ‘B’ 3-0 (H. Jeho bt Jayabrata Bhattacharee 13-11, 11-8, 12-10, Payas Jain bt Dev Shroff 11-7, 11-9, 13-11, Payas-Chinmaya Somaiya bt Jayabrata-Dev 11-3, 11-9, 12-10).
