Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina of Russia to win the women's doubles title in the French Open on Sunday.

Caroline and Kristina imposed themselves early on, winning the first set 6-3. The Russian pair came back strongly to win the second 6-2 but its opposition had the last laugh, winning the decider 6-4 to claim the title.
