Stuttgart Open: Bopanna and Shapovalov stun Bryan Brothers

India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Denis Shapovalov put up a stirring performance to hand the legendary Bryan Brothers -- Mike and Bob -- a 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 defeat to move into the quarterfinals of the Stuttgart Open on Wednesday.

The duo will take on Frenchmen Lucas Pouille and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Meanwhile, Davis Cupper Sumit Nagal knocked out eighth seed Quentyn Halys of France 6-3, 6-2 on clay in the second round of the €92,040 Challenger in Lyon, France, on Wednesday. In the Nottingham Challenger on grass, Saketh Myneni beat Mats Morang of Germany 7-6(2), 6-3 in the first round.
