AAA approves Bhubaneswar as Asian meet venue

The Asian Athletics Association has approved Bhubaneswar as the host city of the 22nd Asian athletics championship and the event’s new dates, July 6 to 9, at its council meeting in Bangkok on Thursday.

The championship, which will see 45 countries in action, will be held at the Kalinga Stadium.

The Asian Athletics Association has approved Bhubaneswar as the host city for the 22nd Asian athletics championship and the event’s new dates, July 6 to 9, at its council meeting in Bangkok on Thursday.

The championship, which will see 45 countries in action, will be held at the Kalinga Stadium. The winner of the Asian meet in all individual events will qualify for the World championship to be held in London from August 4 to 13.

The AAA council also confirmed Dongguan City of China’s Guangdong province as the venue for the 16th Asian marathon championship which will be held on November 26this year.
