Dutee Chand needs to clock 11.32s to qualify for the Rio Olympics.

The Indian men clocked a mediocre 39.92s while winning the 4x100m relay at the Tatiana Kolpakova athletics meet at Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Indian women’s 4x100m relay team, which had broken the national record with 44.03s recently in Beijing, finished second in 44.45s while Dutee Chand, the national record holder with 11.33s, clocked 11.47s to finish runner-up in the individual 100m. Dutee had clocked a faster 11.41s in the heats earlier today.

Dutee needs to clock 11.32s to qualify for the Rio Olympics while the relay teams have to finish within the top 16 in the world rankings (based on the average of their best two times) during the qualification period which is from January 1, 2015 to July 11 this year.

The chances of both the sprint relay teams making the Rio grade look slim at this stage.
