The timings and throws were not very impressive but Indian athletes picked three gold in the G. Kosanov Memorial international meet at Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Saturday.
Mohammed Afsal took the men’s 800m gold in 1:49.12s while discus throwers Gagandeep Singh (men, 52.39m) and Navjeet Kaur (women, 54.80m) also won their events on the opening day of the two-day meet.
