Siddhanth, who is chasing the Rio Olympics qualification standard of 13.47s, bettered his own national record at the Grand Canyon State Games on Sunday.

A month after breaking his own national record, Mumbai sprint hurdler Siddhanth Thingalaya bettered it at the Grand Canyon State Games at Arizona, United States, on Sunday.

The ONGC star clocked 13.54s to win the men’s 110m hurdles, bettering his national record of 13.59s which he had run at Clermont, Florida, on May 14.

Siddhanth, who is chasing the Rio Olympics qualification standard of 13.47s clocked that time a few days ago in a meet in Redlands (US) on May 19 but unfortunately, that was a wind-assisted time (2.1) and thus did not count towards qualification purposes.
