Sindhu v Okuhara: Head-to-head

Sindhu storms into World Championships final

Sindhu and Okuhara have faced each other six times in the past. Their head-to-head record is tied at 3-all.

While their first meeting was at the Asia Youth Under-19 Championships in 2012, the latest was at the Singapore Open earlier this year, where Sindhu defeated the Japanese 10-21, 21-15, 22-20.

Sindhu had also defeated Okuhara in the semifinal of the Rio Olympic Games last year. She beat her 21-19, 21-10. Sindhu clinched the silver medal and Okuhara settled for a bronze.
