Indian Grandmaster Harika Dronavalli continued her winning streak as she beat Tuvshintugs Batchimeg in the seventh round of the Reykjavik Open in Iceland.

Though the World No. 11 Indian was up against a lower rated International Master from Mongolia, she had to work really hard to eke out a victory.

“My opponent made a small mistake in the opening phase of the game which made it easier for me,” said Harika. “Even though she made a mistake, I had to convert it very accurately and won after a five-hour long strategic battle,” she added.

Harika now has a five wins, one draw and a loss for a total of five and half points. The Hyderabadi will take on Turkish Grandmaster Mustafa Yilmaz in her next round battle.
