India’s Vidit Gujrathi shared the third place with seven others at the end of the fifth round of the World rapid chess championship at Doha on Monday. He is on four points, one point behind sole leader Anton Korbov of Ukraine, who won all his five games.

Armenia’s Levon Aronian is in the second position with 4.5 points while former champion Viswanathan Anand is placed 15th with 3.5 points.

In the women’s event, India’s best bet Koneru Humpy is in the 14th place with 2.5 points, 1.5 points behind sole leader Anna Muzychuk of Ukraine, who won all her four games.
