Hampshire couldn't recover from early blows and was bowled out for just 118 in its first innings.

Earlier in the week, Rahane, who did not make it to India's 15-member World Cup squad, scored a century on county debut. He scored 119 off 197 balls (14 fours) in the second innings against Nottinghamshire at the Newclose County Cricket Ground.

Rahane had a disappointing IPL stint too, scoring 393 runs in 14 matches for the Rajasthan Royals, with one century.
