All eyes were on Arjun Tendulkar as T20 Mumbai got underway at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday and the 19-year-old did not disappoint. Featuring for Aakash Tigers, the young medium-pacer picked up a wicket, giving away 21 runs in three overs, as his team restricted Triumph Knights to 147-6 in the opening fixture.
Then, batting at No. 3, Arjun made a strokeful 19-ball 23, laced with a four and six. The 19-year-old began slowly before finding the boundary twice in quick succession. He hit Kalpesh Sawant for a four on the offside before swatting left-arm orthodox spinner Vinayak Bhoir for a six over long-on. He perished trying to loft Bhoir over his head and was caught at long-off.
Appearing in his first assignment in the franchise league, Arjun -- son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar -- looked calm and composed as he was asked to bowl the second over by team captain, Dhawal Kulkarni.
The youngster gave away six runs in the beginning.

In his third over, the youngster went for eight runs. He, however, wasn’t brought back to the attack after the Powerplay.
In the auction last week, the youngster was the highest buy as Aakash Tigers roped him in for Rs 5 lakh and on debut, Arjun did prove his mettle.
