Ball, another fall, for England ahead of Ashes
The England speedster rolled his ankle and landed on the pitch while bowling the four-day game against Cricket Australia XI at the Adelaide Oval.

England speedster Jake Ball sprained his right ankle in the tour match against Cricket Australia XI at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday. The incident sent an injury scare through the visitors’ camp, who already lost Steven Finn who tore his left knee cartilage two days ago.
With still no clarity on Ben Stokes’ participation in the upcoming Magellan Ashes starting November 23, any injury is likely to add to England’s woes.
Ball twisted his right ankle, and fell on his back foot in his delivery stride in the four-day game. The 26-year-old fell on the pitch and had to be taken out for medical treatment. Later, England team management confirmed that he would not take the field further in the day’s play.
The England team management confirmed to cricket.com.au that Ball will be under observation for a day and then, a call will be taken on his future in the tour.

He was touted as the fourth pacer in the squad after James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes.
Ball made his Test debut against Pakistan last year at the Lord’s.
