Australian Prime Minister hosts Virat Kohli and Tim Paine on New Year's day

Ahead of the Sydney Test starting from January 3, the Indian and Australian teams celebrated New Year's day at the official residence of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison hosted the Indian and Australian cricket teams at his official residence, the Kirribilli House on New Year's day in Sydney.

The Indian team, led by flamboyant Virat Kohli and the Australian team captained by Tim Paine posed for photographs along with Morrison during the official photo shoot.

India head coach Ravi Shastri was seen sporting a golden hat while most of the team members wore white shirt and grey blazer.

 

Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya, meanwhile, opted for the traditional India blazers.

The entire squad was present, except Rohit Sharma who is currently in Mumbai to be with his wife and newborn baby.

Rohit will be missing the fourth and final Test against Australia in Sydney and will join the ODI squad on January 8.

Soon after the get-together, some of the players took to Instagram to share pictures.

Having won the third Test at the MCG, India now has the golden chance to register a historic Test series win Down Under when the final match gets underway from January 3.
