After losing to Pakistan by 29 runs in the opening game, Bangladesh fought back to win a thriller in the second ODI by a wicket with a ball to spare.

Fargana Hoque's 67 helped Bangladesh Women win a thriller in the second ODI against Pakistan on Monday in Lahore as both teams finished all-square in the two match series.

Chasing a target of 211, Murshida Khatun (44) and Sharmin Sultana (27) got Bangladesh get off to a good start before Hoque steered her side close to victory with a fighting fifty. Her 97-ball vigil was studded with six boundaries.

However, her dismissal in the 43rd over triggered a collapse where the side lost five wickets for 28 runs to be positioned at 205 for nine before getting over the line with a ball to spare.

After electing to bat first, Pakistan was restricted to 210 all-out in the 49th over. Salma Khatun was among the wickets with two scalps while Rumana Ahmed claimed three for 35. Opener Nahida Khan top-scored with 63.
