Dates for India's tour of WI announced

Unlike most of India’s recent tours, the Test matches have been spaced out.

Ahead of the first Test, Virat Kohli’s men will play a two-day and a three-day warm-up game in St. Kitts for getting acquainted with the conditions.

India will play two warm-up matches in the West Indies ahead of its four-Test series, which will begin with the opening Test to be played from July 21. The Board of Control for Cricket in India and the West Indies Cricket Board on Thursday announced the itinerary for the seven-week tour.

Ahead of the first Test, Virat Kohli’s men will play a two-day and a three-day warm-up game in St. Kitts for getting acquainted with the conditions. Unlike most of India’s recent tours, the Test matches have been spaced out. While there is a four-day gap after the first and third Tests, teams will get an additional day’s rest between the second Test in Jamaica and third in St. Lucia.

Departure: July 6

Warm-up match: July 9-10 (St. Kitts)

Warm-up match: July 14-16 (St. Kitts)

First Test: July 21-25 (Antigua)

Second Test: July 30-August 3 (Jamaica)

Third Test: August 9-13 (St. Lucia)

Fourth Test: August 18-22 (Trinidad & Tobago)
