Arjun Tendulkar in Mumbai U-19 squad

The 17-year-old all-rounder, son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, earlier played in U-14 and U-16 teams.

Recently, Arjun Tendulkar was in the news for nearly injuring England batsman Jonny Bairstow at the nets, before the Brits’ home series against South Africa.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, has been selected in Mumbai U-19 squad for J.Y Lele All India Under-19 Invitational One Day Tournament, to be held in Baroda later this month.

Having played in Mumbai U-14 and U-16 teams, the 17-year-old brings in a slice of experience to the plate as well. More than batting, the left-handed all-rounder is more known for his seam bowling.

Arjun has often flown to London to hone his skills. Recently, he was in the news for nearly injuring England batsman Jonny Bairstow at the nets, before the Brits’ home series against South Africa. The nasty yorker sent Bairstow out of the nets and he needed medical assistance.

The tournament will begin on September 16.
