Armaan Jaffer returns to Mumbai squad
A couple of years ago, Armaan featured in three games for Mumbai but he failed to make an impact and this time, the youngster will be hoping to prove a point.

Barely a week after scoring a triple century in a Colonel CK Nayudu U-23 Trophy match against Saurashtra, Armaan Jaffer was brought back to the Mumbai squad for the Ranji Trophy fixture against Gujarat.
After a meeting on Monday, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) selection committee named Jaffer — who is the nephew of India international Wasim Jaffer — in the 14-member squad.
In search of its first win in the season, Mumbai will take on Gujarat at the Wankhede Stadium from Wednesday and it will be interesting to see whether Armaan finally makes it to the final eleven.

With Dhawal Kulkarni leading the side, the focus will be on how batters — Siddhesh Lad, Jay Bista, Suryakumar Yadav and Aditya Tare fare.
Youngster Tushar Deshpande, who has had a good outing with the ball so far, will also be hoping to make his mark at home.
Armaan, however, does not want to think too much about his selection. Having made it to the Ranji Trophy side for Mumbai in 2016, the young batsman could only score 44 runs in six innings. And this time, he wants to better the show.
“It is a great feeling to be back into the squad, but I don’t want to get carried away. Performance will be the key. When I debuted a couple of years ago, it was not that memorable, so I want to keep things simple and focus on the job,” Armaan told Sportstar .
Coming back from injury, Armaan has had a good outing at the CK Nayudu Trophy and he wants to keep the momentum going. “You cannot change much in such a short notice, so I will rely on my natural game. I have been working hard and want to keep that going,” the 20-year-old said.
