Ranji Trophy final: Pant breaks Sachin’s 22-year-old record
The 20-year and 86-day-old Pant became the youngest-ever to lead a side in the Ranji Trophy final.

He may not have had a good outing with the bat but Delhi captain Rishabh Pant broke Sachin Tendulkar’s 22-year-old record at the Holkar Stadium on Friday.

The 20-year and 86-day-old Pant became the youngest-ever to lead a side in the Ranji Trophy final. Tendulkar had achieved the unique record, when he captained Mumbai in the Ranji final during the 1994-95 season, on March 27, 1995. He was 21-years and 337 days then.
With leading the side on Friday, Pant has achieved yet another milestone in his career. “My target is to play our best and win the Ranji Trophy title. It is a great honour for us,” Pant said.
