Ishant Sharma and Virat Kohli celebrate a wicket during India's Test series against West Indies.

India captain Virat Kohli along with internationals Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, Ishant Sharma and Navdeep Saini have been named in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 probables for Delhi.

On Tuesday, the Delhi & District Cricket Association announced a list of 50 probables for the domestic one-day competition starting September 24.

As the tournament will run parallel to India’s home series against South Africa, it is not clear how many international players will be available.

There is a nine-day window between the T20Is against the Proteas (September 15 to 22) and the start of the first Test — October 2.

Dhawan, who is not part of the Test setup at the moment, will be expected to play. Youngster Saini is also a possibility considering he is just part of the T20I squad. The fast bowler’s national duty will be over before the start of the domestic tournament.

It remains to be seen if Pant, Ishant and Kohli decide to play a few games to warm up for the long Test season at home. But it is unlikely that the Indian captain will be available.

Delhi was the runner-up in the Vijay Hazare Trophy last season.
