The Indian cricket team, which had a practice session at the Hampshire Bowl on Thursday ahead of its World Cup opener against South Africa on June 5, posed for a few pictures outside the dressing room.
Among the players, was all-rounder Kedar Jadhav, who just recuperated from a shoulder injury he picked up while playing for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. Responding to a photographer's query on his fitness, the 34-year-old flexed his muscles in reply.
Injuries have continued to haunt the 34-year-old. He was down with a hamstring strain, suffered while batting during India’s successful chase in the final of the Asia Cup against Bangladesh last year.
Earlier, Jadhav, who has been a regular in India’s ODI team, had suffered a grade 2 hamstring tear in the opening game of the 2018 IPL and was ruled out for the entire season and India’s subsequent tour of Ireland and England.
Jadhav is a member of the 15-man squad which will travel to England and Wales later this month for the World Cup.
