Harmanpreet Kaur: The stylish Indian, if gets going, is a treat to watch. Harmanpreet can hit the ball a long way and is a big asset in the shortest format of the game. It is, however, her captaincy skills that will also be closely watched.
Smriti Mandhana: The southpaw is a vital cog in India's top order. The Maharashtra-born player has already proved her mettle in the Big Bash League and the Kia Super League with breathtaking strokeplay and intent. Having scored half-centuries and tons at will, Smriti's form will be crucial for India's prospects.
Mithali Raj: Playing her fifth World Cup, veteran Mithali Raj's experience will go a long way in shaping India's fortunes. Her tactical acumen along with her batting skills will make her one of the most watched player in the World Cup. In what could be her last T20 World Cup, Mithali would love to sign off on a high.
Jemimah Rodrigues: The teenager burst into the limelight last year by becoming only the second Indian woman to hit a double hundred in an ODI. And she hasn’t looked back since then. Mostly batting at one-drop, Jemimah's above par strike rate will help the India wade through the tide in the middle overs.
Pooja Vastrakar: Although not a like-for-like replacement for Jhulan Goswami, the speedster boasts of an economy of under-7 which talks a lot about her bowling abilities. A wicket-taker, Pooja can also be a handy lower order bat, with a 50 against her name.
