Jasprit Bumrah played a crucial role in India's historic Test series win in Australia.

Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the upcoming ODI series against Australia and India's tour of New Zealand for limited-overs cricket.

Mohammed Siraj has been drafted in the squad as replacement while Siddarth Kaul been included in the squad for the three-match T20I series against New Zealand.

"Keeping in mind the work load of the bowler (Bumrah), it was best felt to give him adequate rest ahead of the home series against Australia," BCCI said.

Virat Kohli and his team on Monday created history by winning a maiden Test series Down Under and will now clash with the host in three one-dayers. Later in the month, India travels to New Zealand for a limited-overs series - comprising of five ODIs and three T20Is.
