India's tour of Australia will begin on November 21 at the Gabba with the first of three T20I matches. This will be the fourth T20I bilateral series between the two teams Down Under. The last time the two nations squared off in 2016, India whitewashed Australia 3-0.

India has won two of the three T20Is played between the two at the MCG, the host of the second match on November 23. The ground will later host the customary Boxing Day Test starting December 26. India has a poor record in Boxing Day Tests, having lost five and drawn two draws.
The MCG will also witness the third and final ODI – the last match of the tour – on January 18.

The two teams will play the third T20I at the SCG on November 25, before returning on January 3 for the fourth and final Test match. The two teams have played four Tests in the past two decades in Sydney, and India is yet to win at the ground, drawing two and losing two. The ODI series will begin at the same venue on January 12. Australia enjoys a 13-2 win record against India in 50-over games played at the SCG till date.

The Test series will commence at the Adelaide Oval on December 6. The Indians' best memory of the ground is Rahul Dravid's square-cut off Stuart MacGill for a boundary to win the Test way back on December 16, 2003. However, Australia has the upper hand as it has won seven of the 11 Tests played between the two countries at the Adelaide Oval. The ground, where the Aussies have a 4-1 record over India, will host the second ODI on January 15.

The newly built Perth Stadium —which hosted its first international match on January 28 — will host its first Test match starting December 14. The WACA ground previously hosted Perth's international matches.
